The Expert Council for Climate Issues advises this, the amended EU Buildings Directive stipulates it anyway and the recent energy price crisis has clearly shown it: Existing buildings with high energy consumption urgently need to be renovated to improve their energy efficiency. What can this and the next federal government do to achieve this? A purposeful discussion about new political impulses is overdue.

On behalf of the RTG Representative Office for Transparent Building Envelopes, the Prognos consulting institute analyzed policy instruments from other EU countries and from the numerous existing concepts and developed suitable policy packages for Germany. We want to present the results of this analysis and discuss them with members of the German Bundestag in a “Politischer Salon Gebäudewende” with an accompanying lunch. We cordially invite you to attend.
