From 20 to 23 October 2026, the international glass industry will come together at glasstec in D\u00fcsseldorf. The world\u2019s leading trade fair will showcase the latest innovations, technologies and applications relating to glass. In 2026, the key topics will include AI and digital technologies, the circular economy and decarbonisation.<\/p>\n
A varied supporting and conference programme featuring special exhibitions, specialist forums and international speakers will provide additional insights into current developments and the industry\u2019s key topics for the future.<\/p>\n
On Friday, 23 October 2026, from 12:00 to 13:00<\/strong>, BF Managing Director Jochen Gr\u00f6negr\u00e4s<\/strong> and Matthias Haller<\/strong>, Chair of the BF Bird Protection Working Group, will speak at the Bird Protection Forum on the topic \u201cBird Protection Glass: Balancing Species Protection, Verification and Practical Application\u201d<\/strong>.<\/p>\n The forum will focus on legal requirements, technical developments, tested solutions and practical guidance for planning, specification and implementation. It will take place on Stage 3 \u2013 glass technology live, Hall 11, C28<\/strong>.
