{"id":15101,"date":"2025-01-13T12:14:05","date_gmt":"2025-01-13T11:14:05","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.bundesverband-flachglas.de\/2025\/01\/13\/buerohochhaus-edge-east-side\/"},"modified":"2025-09-11T14:06:41","modified_gmt":"2025-09-11T12:06:41","slug":"buerohochhaus-edge-east-side","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.bundesverband-flachglas.de\/en\/2025\/01\/13\/buerohochhaus-edge-east-side\/","title":{"rendered":"EDGE East Side Office Tower"},"content":{"rendered":"<h3 data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"253\"><strong data-start=\"133\" data-end=\"251\">EDGE East Side \u2013 Office high-rise in Berlin featuring highly efficient solar control glass from Saint-Gobain Glass<\/strong><\/h3>\n<p data-start=\"255\" data-end=\"590\">The name and location could hardly be more striking: Project developer <strong data-start=\"326\" data-end=\"352\">EDGE Technologies GmbH<\/strong> and the renowned architectural firm <strong data-start=\"389\" data-end=\"418\">Bjarke Ingels Group (BIG)<\/strong> have realized <strong data-start=\"433\" data-end=\"451\">EDGE East Side<\/strong> on Warschauer Stra\u00dfe in Berlin-Friedrichshain \u2013 an energy-efficient office high-rise designed and equipped with the latest technologies.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"592\" data-end=\"1088\">Conceived as a vertical campus, the tower pushes the boundaries in several respects: at 140 meters, it will become Berlin\u2019s tallest office building. At the same time, it is designed to meet the highest standards of construction quality and sustainability. The project has already received <strong data-start=\"881\" data-end=\"915\">DGNB Platinum precertification<\/strong> and is also aiming for <strong data-start=\"939\" data-end=\"966\">WELL Gold certification<\/strong> from the International WELL Building Institute, which recognizes outstanding building quality in health and well-being.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1642\">Smart building solutions will also play a key role in enhancing user comfort and energy efficiency. The same goals are pursued with the fa\u00e7ade design: a double-skin, ventilated aluminum fa\u00e7ade with integrated solar shading and highly efficient solar control glazing <strong data-start=\"1356\" data-end=\"1394\">CLIMATOP COOL-LITE XTREME 70\/33 II<\/strong> and <strong data-start=\"1399\" data-end=\"1416\">PLANITHERM XN<\/strong>. Technical performance values are equally compelling: a light transmission of 61%, a g-value of 30%, and a Ug-value of 0.6 W\/m\u00b2K.
